The Academy in Peril Art Exhibition

A solo exhibition by artist Ritchard Rodriguez examines the tension between tradition and experimentation through layered, abstract compositions. On view daily from April 8 through May 4 at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, The Academy in Peril presents a body of work that blends newly created pieces with reworked paintings from the artist’s earlier period in Paris. The exhibition, presented by Gato Gordo Gallery, is installed in the hotel’s lobby, offering a publicly accessible viewing space.

Rodriguez’s work engages with art historical references while incorporating contemporary abstraction, creating a dialogue between academic techniques and evolving artistic expression.
