The Allyson Briggs Jazz Ensemble

A big band performance channels the swing-era sound and style of the early 20th century with music rooted in the Jazz Age.

The Allyson Briggs Jazz Ensemble takes place on Sunday, January 11 at the Jazz Age Stage at Lummus Park and 12th Street on Miami Beach. Presented as part of the Art Deco Weekend lineup, the outdoor concert features vocalist Allyson Briggs leading a Gatsby-inspired orchestra known for reviving jazz and swing from the 1920s through the 1940s.

The ensemble’s repertoire draws from classic standards associated with the swing era, reflecting the period’s musical sophistication and vintage style. Set along Ocean Drive, the performance complements Art Deco Weekend’s broader celebration of design, music and cultural life from the early 20th century.
