From: 9:00 PM to 12:30 PM
West Coast hip-hop pioneers The Pharcyde bring their influential sound to Wynwood for a live performance at Midline Miami on Friday, May 15.
Formed in Los Angeles in the early 1990s, The Pharcyde became one of the most distinctive voices in alternative hip-hop, known for blending playful lyricism, jazz-inflected production and offbeat storytelling. Their 1992 debut album Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde is widely regarded as a classic of the genre, featuring standout tracks such as “Passin’ Me By,” while their follow-up album Labcabincalifornia introduced the influential single “Runnin’,” produced by J Dilla. Over the decades, the group’s inventive style and laid-back West Coast sensibility have helped shape generations of hip-hop artists and fans.
The concert takes place at Midline Miami, a Wynwood venue at the Arlo Hotel that has quickly established itself as a destination for live music across genres. With a capacity of roughly 800 to 1,000 guests, the space combines an intimate layout with a powerful sound system designed to keep the focus squarely on the performance.
