The Pickle Grand Opening

Miami underground nightlife gets a new open-air home as The Pickle carries the spirit of Wynwood’s Electric Pickle to the tarmac terrace at the 94th Aero Squadron. Taking place Friday, September 11, the grand opening follows a series of revival events at the site and establishes a new chapter for the club concept, with a mystery lineup of DJs playing from late night through sunrise.

The original Electric Pickle opened in Wynwood in 2009 and spent a decade building a reputation around intimate dance floors, adventurous bookings and a music-first approach to nightlife. The 300-capacity club became an influential part of Miami’s house and techno community, hosting artists including DJ Harvey, Nicolas Jaar, Maceo Plex and Moodymann before closing in 2019.

Founder Will Renuart now continues the concept with DJ and producer Danny Daze as a partner, shifting The Pickle into an outdoor setting beneath the oak canopy at the 94th Aero Squadron. Rather than announcing the opening lineup in advance, the event leaves the selectors undisclosed, placing the emphasis on curation, extended sets and the dance floor itself.
