The Prodigal Daughter, The Journey Home is presented on Saturday, January 31 at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. Produced by Hodges & Hodges Productions, the play follows Monica, a woman pulled away from her faith and family as she struggles with past trauma, searching for love and belonging while confronting feelings of abandonment and despair.
The narrative traces Monica’s emotional journey as she navigates relationships, spiritual doubt and the long path toward healing, framed as a story of redemption and self-discovery. The production stars Dorien Wilson, known for roles in Dream On, Sister, Sister, The Parkers and In the Cut, alongside Gigi Hodges, Yanie Marie, Mildred Washington, Kenny Day Jr., Selena Vaquero, Lamar Hodges, Felecia Townsend, Debbie Parent and Lorna Eusebe.
Performed at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex, the play situates its themes within a community-centered setting, emphasizing resilience, reflection and the possibility of renewal.
