The Seven Deadly Sins

Witness a poignant exploration of resilience at The Seven Deadly Sins. Part of the New World Symphony's 2024-2025 season, this staged production takes place on October 19 and 20 at the New World Center. Conductor Stéphane Denève leads the NWS Fellows in a powerful program featuring two works by composers ostracized by the Nazi regime. Viktor Ullmann's "The Kaiser of Atlantis" and Kurt Weill's satirical masterpiece "The Seven Deadly Sins" are presented together for a thought-provoking exploration of the human spirit in dark times. Groundbreaking director Yuval Sharon creates a captivating experience through dance, opera and cutting-edge technology. Soprano Danielle de Niese makes her NWS debut alongside a special guest choreographer and dancers.
