Third Horizon Presents: Todo Parecía Posible
Aug 01, 2026
Starting: 4:00 PM
Archival footage from rural Puerto Rico becomes the focus of a documentary screening and workshop led by filmmaker Ramón Rivera Moret. Presented by Miami Film Festival and Third Horizon, the program takes place Saturday, August 1 at the Koubek Center, beginning with a workshop at 4 p.m. and continuing with the film and a Q&A at 7 p.m.
The Spanish-language documentary Todo parecía posible (Everything Seemed Possible) examines films created by Puerto Rico’s Division of Community Education from the late 1940s through the 1960s. Combining rare footage with personal memories, Rivera Moret explores how the government-supported film unit worked alongside rural communities while documenting social change, industrialization and displacement.
During the workshop, Rivera Moret will discuss how heritage film materials can be repurposed to address contemporary subjects. The session is designed for filmmakers, scholars, students and members of the general public.
