Third Thursdays: Hosted by O, Miami Poetry Festival
Apr 16, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Poetry returns to The Bass for an evening shaped by language, imagination and public participation, as O, Miami Poetry Festival hosts this edition of the museum’s Third Thursdays series.
Centered on the idea of poetry as a shared civic experience, the program invites audiences to explore how verse and visual art intersect within the museum setting. O, Miami Poetry Festival, whose mission is to ensure every person in Miami-Dade County encounters a poem during National Poetry Month, brings its citywide, site-responsive approach to The Bass for a night of creative reflection and exchange.
Taking place Thursday, April 16, the event is free with RSVP, with limited seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Third Thursdays at The Bass feature storytelling, poetry, community conversations and one-night-only installations, made possible by support from the Art Bridges Foundation Access for All Program.
The evening coincides with the City of Miami Beach Culture Crawl and includes access to complimentary trolley service connecting participating cultural destinations throughout the night.
