Thursdays at PAMM: Poetry in Motion

A movement-based poetry workshop exploring the connection between body and language takes place along the waterfront at Pérez Art Museum Miami. Taking place Thursday, April 16, Poetry in Motion Presented by Buen Provecho Collective is part of PAMM’s weekly Thursday programming and coincides with National Poetry Month.

Led by interdisciplinary artist KT, the session draws inspiration from the Japanese avant-garde dance form Butoh and the museum’s Shadows and Traces exhibition. Participants are guided through exercises that combine short-form poetry with somatic movement, encouraging an embodied approach to storytelling shaped by memory, gesture and intuition.

Open to all experience levels, the workshop invites attendees to engage with poetry beyond the written page. Additional evening programming includes gallery access, guided tours and art-making activities, with free museum admission available during Thursday evening hours.
