Ti Pa Konpa Dance Classes

Konpa dance takes focus in a beginner-friendly class celebrating Haitian culture through movement and music. Presented by the City of North Miami as part of Haitian Heritage Month, Ti Pa Konpa Dance Classes takes place Thursday, May 21 at Griffing Community Center.

Led by an experienced instructor, the class introduces participants to the basic steps, rhythm and partner-dance feel of Konpa, a popular Haitian music and dance style. No prior dance experience is required, making the session accessible for newcomers as well as those looking to reconnect with the dance in a community setting.

The program offers a hands-on way to engage with Haitian Heritage Month through social dance, cultural expression and shared participation.
