TREEmendous Work Day, Meeting and Picnic
Feb 21, 2026
From: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Community members gather at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park for an afternoon of hands-on conservation, reflection and appreciation during TREEmendous Work Day, the Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation Picnic.
Taking place Saturday, February 21, the event begins with an optional volunteer work session focused on caring for planted areas and removing invasive species that threaten native trees and coastal ecosystems. No prior experience is required, and participants are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Arrival and sign-in for volunteers begins at 2 p.m.
From 4:30 to 5 p.m., guests can relax, connect and enjoy free time before the picnic and meeting begin. The picnic dinner and Annual Meeting run from 5 to 6 p.m., featuring food and refreshments provided by TREEmendous Miami, with attendees welcome to bring a side dish or dessert to share. The meeting includes a review of the past year’s accomplishments, updates on current initiatives and the election of the upcoming Board of Directors.
The evening concludes with a beach bonfire, offering a casual setting to celebrate volunteers, strengthen community ties and honor ongoing efforts in coastal conservation.
