Dec 06, 2025
From: 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM
Coconut Grove’s architectural charm takes center stage as The Villagers present their 40th Annual Holiday House Tour: A Stroll in the Grove.
Taking place Saturday, December 6, the self-guided tour invites guests to explore a curated selection of early and contemporary private homes, along with restored historic landmarks, all within a one-mile walking radius. Villager members will be on-site to share insights into each property’s history, architecture and preservation stories.
Highlights include visits to David Fairchild’s Kampong laboratory, the 1892 oolitic limestone office and stables of pioneering physician Dr. Eleanor Galt Simmons, and the 1887 Coconut Grove Schoolhouse, all recipients of Villagers preservation grants. Guests can also enjoy the Holiday Gift Boutique at Plymouth Congregational Church, featuring local artisans, vintage jewelry, handmade angels, baked goods and a raffle for the annual Villager-made quilt.
Free parking and check-in are located at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart’s Barat Campus, with a complimentary shuttle available throughout the day. Comfortable walking shoes, hats and sunscreen are recommended. Proceeds from the event support the preservation of Miami’s historic sites and neighborhoods.
