Sep 19, 2026
Select Days - Through Oct 11, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to Noon
Children and families can learn how blind soccer uses sound, spatial awareness and communication through a live demonstration and hands-on activities at the Coral Gables Museum. Offered Saturday, September 19 and Sunday, October 11, the free program is led by U.S. National Blind Soccer Team member and Paralympic hopeful Oseas De Leon in partnership with Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
Participants will get an introduction to the sport’s rules and adapted techniques before trying drills with blindfolds, specialized soccer balls and other equipment. A Q&A with De Leon accompanies the demonstration, offering a closer look at the teamwork and sensory skills involved in blind soccer.
