A one-night tasting event highlighting Southeast Asian flavors through a French-Indonesian lens takes place at Wayan Miami in Wynwood. Scheduled for Sunday, April 12, the Wok Star Supper Club presents a 10-dish, family-style menu designed as a shared dining experience. The evening is hosted by Miami-based food personality Eleanor Hoh and reflects cross-cultural influences rooted in Indonesian and Malaysian cuisine.
The menu includes a progression of dishes from starters to dessert, beginning with items such as chicken satay, corn fritters and escargot rendang, followed by plates including tamarind citrus salad, black cod and caramelized beef tenderloin. Additional courses feature nasi goreng and eggplant balado, concluding with pandan custard and a banana sundae. A welcome cocktail is included as part of the experience.
Located in the Wynwood Arts District, Wayan Miami is led by Chef Cédric Vongerichten and builds on his New York concept, combining Southeast Asian flavors with French technique. The restaurant’s design incorporates natural materials, an open kitchen and indoor-outdoor seating, creating a setting oriented around shared meals and communal dining.
