Taking place Sunday, May 17, the World Bee Day Symposium centers on pollinator education, regenerative practices and environmental stewardship. The event unfolds across the sanctuary’s gardens and natural spaces, combining workshops, demonstrations and communal gathering.
Program Highlights
Participants can engage with a range of activities and experiences throughout the day, including:
- Honey House unveiling, offering access to new observation hives and an interactive learning space focused on regenerative beekeeping
- Beekeeping workshops and discussions led by Melissa Sorokin of Beelightful Bees, covering hive dynamics, pollination and beginner fundamentals
- Introduction of the Primal Beehive, an innovative design focused on sustainability and colony health
- Garden and pollinator education, with guidance on creating bee-friendly home landscapes
- Bee-inspired brunch, featuring seasonal, honey-infused offerings sourced from the sanctuary’s gardens
