World Ocean Celebration '26 Launch Party

Ocean advocates, artists and community leaders gather for an evening marking the start of the 2026 World Ocean Celebration. Presented by Blue Scholars Initiative, the launch party takes place Saturday, May 30 from 7 to 11 p.m. at The Jewel Box. The event opens a 10-day series of ocean-focused activities across South Florida leading up to World Ocean Day, with a focus on marine conservation, art, education and community engagement.

Guests can expect music, ocean-inspired art and opportunities to learn about the events planned throughout the celebration. The broader World Ocean Celebration lineup includes guided snorkels, beach activations, youth workshops, public panels, film screenings and art installations designed to connect scientific, cultural and community perspectives on ocean protection.

YoungArts serves as a partner for the evening. Limited underground garage parking is available on site, with metered street parking nearby and access via the Adrienne Arsht Center Metromover Station.
