Yeison Landero x Sonora Tukukuy

Colombian accordionist Yeison Landero brings cumbia sabanera to Miami Beach Botanical Garden in a program that pairs traditional Colombian rhythms with Miami-based tropical sounds. Presented Saturday, October 17, the concert brings together Live Arts Miami’s MUNDO Live Music Series and Miami Jazz Booking’s Jazz in the Jungle, opening new seasons for both programs.

Known as “El Heredero de la Cumbia,” Landero is the grandson of accordionist Andrés Landero, widely associated with the development of Colombia’s cumbia sabanera tradition. His performances carry that lineage into a contemporary setting through accordion-led cumbia rooted in the musical culture of San Jacinto, Bolívar.

Miami’s Sonora Tukukuy opens the evening, with additional music from Tormenta Tropical Soundsystem featuring Moonbeam Mike and Oro 11. Social dancing, food, drinks and local vendor activations round out the outdoor program. Advance tickets are $30, with $38 admission at the door and free entry for children under 12.
