On Saturday, July 19, the Zach Bartholomew Band will perform The Music of Bill Evans at The Moss Center. Known for his lyrical phrasing and innovative harmonic approach, Bill Evans left a lasting mark on jazz piano, both as a soloist and as a member of the Miles Davis sextet. This intimate concert offers a deep dive into Evans’ signature sound, featuring original compositions and repertoire closely associated with his legacy.
Led by pianist Dr. Zachary Bartholomew—an award-winning performer, composer and educator—the trio includes bassist Jamie Ousley and drummer Brandon Lee Lewis. Together, they bring precision, emotion and reverence to Evans’ work.
