A sharp comedic voice rooted in personal storytelling comes to Miami Improv as Zainab Johnson takes the stage for a four-night run.
From December 26 through 30, the stand-up comedian, actress and writer brings her distinct point of view—shaped by her Harlem upbringing in a large Black Muslim family—to a series of performances showcasing her wit, warmth and incisive humor. Johnson is a series regular on the Amazon Original UPLOAD, a host of Netflix’s 100 Humans and has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, HBO’s All Def Comedy, Last Comic Standing and multiple Just For Laughs showcases, including “New Faces of Comedy” and “Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch.” Her debut hour-long special, Hijabs Off, is currently streaming on Amazon.
Johnson is also a paid regular at major comedy institutions including The Comedy Store, The Improv, the Laugh Factory and New York’s Comedy Cellar, reflecting her resonance across both coasts.
