Looking for something fun to do in Greater Miami this June? Check out our exciting calendar of events – from cool museum exhibits to comedy shows, home kitchen tours and a special Pride Month show, there’s something for everyone.

On your visit to Greater Miami, treat yourself to a stay at one of the destination’s many beautiful hotels. Starting June 1, Miami Hotel Months offers special deals, hotel packages and extra perks at more than 90 hotels.

Art and Education Events at Coral Gables Museum: Multiple Dates

There’s so much to do at Coral Gables Museum this month. On June 4, Twilight Fridays at the Museum offers visitors of all ages free admission to the museum’s galleries and exhibitions, live music, a cash bar and much more. On June 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., head to Sew to Tell, a sewing and quilting event to raise money for charity, taught by artist Aurora Molina. This event will honor and support all who have survived or succumbed to AIDS, as well as their caretakers, families and friends. On June 12, Family Day on Aragon is a free event where visitors of all ages can shop at an outdoor art market, enjoy live music, explore the museum and see a family-friendly movie under the stars.

Educational events at the Deering Estate: Multiple Dates

Everyone who visits the Deering Estate in June will find something they love. On June 13, “Shorts Under the Stars: Celebrating Black Stories in honor of Juneteenth Celebration” is a mini outdoor film festival where you can bring lawn chairs and food and enjoy four short films. Budding environmentalists should sign up for the Junior Naturalists program, a five-day training course that teaches teenagers (ages 15-17) about environmental stewardship, education and leadership. If you love nature, don’t miss the monthly Butterfly Walk on June 26. It’s a guided tour that points out the nearly 40 other species of butterflies that live on the grounds of the Deering Estate, including the Ruddy Daggerwing, Dina Yellow and Atala.

Beyond Van Gogh: Now through July 11

Taking place at Ice Palace Studios, Beyond Van Gogh: An Immersive Experience uses cutting-edge projection technology to create a walk-through art experience like no other. Crafted by world-renowned audiovisual designers, “Beyond Van Gogh” takes guests into the dreams, thoughts, words and art of the incomparable Vincent Van Gogh. The latest technology wraps walls in light, color and shapes from Van Gogh’s masterpieces that then swirl, dance and refocus into flowers, cafes, landscapes and more. Set to symphonic music, this is truly a sensory experience. Ticket prices vary and can be purchased online.

Lasting Impressions at the Adrienne Arsht Center: Now through June 16

Don’t miss Lasting Impressions: The 3D LED Experience show at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, which brings more than 100 of the world’s most famous Impressionist paintings to life. This is a one-hour, timed entry experience that uses new, patented digital technology and giant screens to make you feel like you’ve stepped inside these masterworks and feel what artists like Monet, Van Gogh, Seurat and Degas felt when they painted them. Classical music by Debussy, Ravel and more plays in the background. All guests will be given 3D glasses and will be required to wear a mask, practice social distancing and complete a short wellness screening. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.

American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Comedy Festival: June 2-13

The ABFF Comedy Festival, a spinoff event from the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), is committed to showcasing emerging Black and Brown comedians and comedy writers, as well as helping to make new generations of diverse artists become famous. This hybrid event will include live stand-up comedy performances, celebrity talks, writing workshops, screenings of studio and network films, and TV comedy. The festival will end with “Black Comedy Live,” a pay-per-view special with a diverse lineup of headlining comics.

Pour Your Heart Out – Batik Hoop Painting Workshop: June 5

Batik is an Indonesian style of art that involves dyeing fabrics. During this installment of “Pour Your Heart Out” at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, budding artists will join batik artist Munirah Rimer for a one-hour batik-painting workshop. Participants will get to choose and create one of four batik handkerchief designs, all while learning about different batik techniques from around the world. This workshop is recommended for guests who are 8+ years old. Purchase tickets ahead of time.

Coral Gables Tour of Kitchens (Outdoor Edition): June 12

Home design aficionados can tour the finest home pools, patios and outdoor kitchens in Coral Gables. This event will take place outdoors for health and safety reasons, and guests will get to enjoy bites from the neighborhood’s top restaurants and curated home goods from local retailers.

Father’s Day Fishing Cruise at Deering Estate: June 20

Treat Dad to a special day in Miami and celebrate Father’s Day with a fishing cruise at the Deering Estate. The catch-and-release fishing trip departs at 1 p.m. and returns at 4 p.m. Tickets include general admission to Deering Estate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., are priced at $45 per person and must be purchased in advance online.

Communitea Dance at the Adrienne Arsht Center: June 26

Close out National Pride Month with the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts’ fourth-annual LGBTQ+ Pride celebration music and dance. From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., this event will showcase a lineup of local LGBTQ+ artists such as DJ Citizen Jane, Alaina Andersen of the Miami City Ballet, dancer Randolph Ward, and Patrick & The Swayzees. This will be a reimagined in-person event right on the Ziff Ballet Opera House stage. Tickets are priced at $15 and can be purchased online.

Siudy Flamenco Bailaora at the Adrienne Arsht Center: June 26-27

Bailaora – within me, within you is coming back to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Brought to life by award-winning choreographer and dancer Siudy Garrido, this performance pairs traditional flamenco instrumentation with synthesized sounds. The story, as told through dance, is a humanist and feminist commentary on self-invention and self-determination. It takes audience members on an emotional journey that explores the vulnerability and inner strength of a warrior whose only voice is her art. Tickets can be purchased online.
