Michelin Guide's Point of View
MICHELIN Bib Gourmand: Good quality, good value cooking.
What started out as a little shipping container in 2017 has morphed into this brick-and-mortar hot spot in Little Havana. There is almost always a line of diners vying to squeeze into the narrow space, designed with emerald-green walls, vibrant tile and sleek brass trimmings. Everyone comes for the same thing: a superb Cuban sandwich featuring pork butt that's been marinated for a week in garlic and spices, then pressed between expertly grilled slices of house-made bread. A heavier but equally flavorful alternative is the lechon, starring tender shredded pork slathered in garlic-cilantro aïoli. Thick baton-shaped croquetas also impress if you need a pre-sandwich bite.
