In 2022, Hard Rock Stadium was the site of Miami’s first Formula One race, building a 19-turn track with 11 grandstands in the middle of the parking lot. Organizers even created a makeshift “marina” where party yachts sat on the water as spectators watched the race. The event will return in 2023 and is already one of the most anticipated events on the Formula One circuit.

During March, Hard Rock Stadium hosts the biggest names in men’s and women’s tennis at the annual Miami Open, the biggest tournament outside the four Grand Slams. Argentinian specialties such as empanadas and grilled meats are available at Novecento, and local legend Shula Burger also has locations inside the stadium.

The Miami Dolphins have launched a new Park & Ride option at Hard Rock Stadium for the 2024 season. For $10 per vehicle, fans can park at designated lots and take a free shuttle, using express lanes to bypass traffic for quick entry to the stadium. This service is designed to make game day more convenient and enjoyable for fans.

LEED Gold Certification For Sustainability Efforts

The Hard Rock Stadium and the Miami International Autodrome Paddock Club have achieved the esteemed LEED Gold certification, a testament to its sustainability efforts. This recognition highlights the stadium's commitment to environmental stewardship through various green initiatives, including removing 99.4 percent of single-use plastic in food and beverage operations and using biodigesters to redirect waste from landfills. This makes the Hard Rock Stadium 1 of 6 NFL stadiums that have received a Gold or higher certification. South Florida Motorsports also achieved the highest rating possible for best practices in environmental management, the FIA Three-Star Environmental Accreditation. It is now the sole Formula 1 location in the United States to receive this rating. This rating reflects their commitment to reducing carbon through various initiatives, including reducing waste, auditing energy consumption and eradicating single-use plastic. These recognitions spotlight Hard Rock Stadium's role as a leader in sustainable practices among sports and entertainment venues.
