Big Cypress National Preserve

West of Miami is America's first national preserve, Big Cypress. This swampy wilderness can be explored on elevated boardwalks - or even better, by kayak, swamp buggy or airboat. Designated an International Dark Sky Place, the preserve is an amazing place to appreciate the wonders of the night sky.
