Explore Surfside's Great Shopping And Dining
- March 24, 2025
Surfside, located between Miami Beach and Bal Harbour, is where a laid-back beach town meets waterfront luxury. While white-sand beaches are undoubtedly its main attraction, Surfside has much more to offer: walkable streets, family-friendly parks, sidewalk cafes, the Turtle Walk and shopping. You’ll find local stores, a farmers market, upscale boutiques, designer stores and great places to eat in and around this beautiful small town.

Spend a Day on Harding Avenue
Just steps from the Atlantic Ocean, Harding Avenue is the heart of Surfside shopping and dining. Stroll along this palm-lined promenade and find more than 20 shops and boutiques selling flowers, high-end fashion and accessories, gifts, custom-made fabrics and even vintage goods. Peek into SIGAL and shop its bold resort wear collection with fabrics hand-painted by owner Sigal Cohen Wolkowiez. Shop for the stylish man in your life at Condotti, specializing in Italian-made silk ties, custom-tailored suits and shoes. Bring home a gift for a woman in your life, like costume jewelry or a fine antique from Seventh Plateau. Finish your shopping day with a bite to eat at one of Harding Avenue’s many eateries, such as MICHELIN-recommended Josh’s Deli, which serves artisanal takes on Jewish deli classics.

Shop on the Beach at Surfside Farmers Market
Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
At Surfside Farmers Market, shop for fresh produce, handmade goods, clothing, coffee, jewelry and more right on Surfside’s sandy shores. For a real treat, visit the Gifted Crust stand on Sundays and try its kosher and stone-baked sourdough pizza. Check out precious sterling silver jewelry handmade by Sue-Bee Q Jewelry. Snag a hand-crocheted turtle or bag from Valy’s Craft Shop. They make for great souvenirs or gifts. The market is located on the beach at 96th Street and is open every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Bonus: Start your Sunday with a sun salutation when you register for the free beach yoga class, every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Shop for High Style at Bal Harbour Shops
Nearby Bal Harbour Shops in Bal Harbour, just north of Surfside, is a mecca of high-end shopping. It’s Miami’s equivalent of Rodeo Drive, with more than 100 haute boutiques, from Alexander McQueen and Balenciaga to Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Prada and two department stores, Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. Window-shop as you stroll past tropical palms, koi ponds, fountains and rotating art exhibits, and end with lunch or dinner at one of several fine restaurants. Indulge in upscale Edomae-style sushi at Makoto.

Discover Something Special on Bay Harbour Islands
Less than a mile from Bal Harbour Shops along 96th Street, Kane Concourse on Bay Harbour Islands is known for its unique brands and no-frills charm. About a five-minute drive from Surfside, it has only two blocks of shopping, but if you’re like most visitors, you’ll leave with something from one of its home decor, beauty, jewelry and fashion stores. MATERIA Collection sells Italian custom furnishings, while Bubblesmiami offers stylish millennial and Gen Z fashion. After shopping, grab an iced matcha latte at Qavah Coffee. It comes with a flower on top.
Explore Quirky, Unique Collins Avenue
Less than two miles south of Surfside, an unnamed shopping destination lines Collins Avenue from 65th to 80th streets in North Beach. It’s filled with quirky consignment stores, surf shops and independent and local sellers. Come here to buy modern women’s fashion from Tasha Velvet Boutique, one-of-a-kind, sustainable shoulder bags made out of kites at Kitechilas and more.
