Role Description
Cook 3 is an intermediate culinary position requiring a high level of skill and professional experience. This role involves the preparation of high-quality food items and may require providing direction to the culinary team in the absence of a supervisor. It is an ideal role for an experienced cook looking to grow within a world-class hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills, including the preparation of soups, sauces, stocks, frying, and broiling.
- Manage and work multiple stations in the kitchen effectively during high-volume periods.
- Ensure all food items are prepared and presented according to Hyatt’s elevated standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to junior culinary staff in the supervisor's absence.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary workstation in compliance with all health regulations.
- Collaborate with the Chef and culinary team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- At least two years of previous line and fine dining experience is required (3 years preferred).
- A Culinary degree or related hotel experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift, pull, and push moderate weight.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including AM/PM shifts, holidays, and weekends.
