Role Description
The Night Auditor is responsible for the overnight operations of the hotel. This role acts as a bridge between the front office and the accounting department by verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing the day's financial transactions, and providing exceptional guest service during the overnight shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform the end-of-day accounting "close" and ensure all financial reports are accurate.
- Check guests in and out of the hotel during the overnight shift in a friendly and professional manner.
- Audit and balance reports from the various hotel outlets (Food & Beverage, Parking, etc.).
- Resolve guest concerns and handle inquiries with a high degree of care.
- Monitor the safety and security of the hotel during the overnight hours.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports to the management and accounting teams.
- Operate the hotel's Property Management System (PMS) to maintain guest records.
- Comply with all safety, security, and brand standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or night audit is highly preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently during the overnight shift.
- Proficiency in computer systems and the ability to learn hotel-specific software quickly.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle guest interactions with patience and professionalism.
- Must be reliable and punctual, as this role is critical to the daily operation of the hotel.
