About the Position
As the Director of Sales - Catering, your key objective is to champion our sales team toward success while consistently achieving performance goals. You will lead the development of comprehensive sales strategies, mentor and coach team members, and foster an exceptional sales culture aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
In this leadership role, you will oversee sales initiatives across all regions, collaborate across departments, analyze sales performance, and cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Your strategic leadership will play a vital role in enhancing sales processes and ensuring the team has the tools and support needed to excel.

Responsibilities
- Oversee sales operations across multiple regions, ensuring strategies and activities are aligned.
- Manage and oversee sales dashboards, including closing ratios, lead management, revenue per event, and other key performance metrics.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that expand the company’s client base and strengthen market presence.
- Provide direct oversight and collaboration with the marketing team.
- Evaluate market trends and provide forecasts regarding competitive changes, opportunities, and potential threats.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop sales team members, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to exceed goals.
- Participate in relevant local and national sales organizations.
Prerequisites
- Previous experience in multi-site sales management and team leadership.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics across multiple regions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning through closing.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
- Ability to travel as needed to manage regional sales teams and meet with key clients and partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior sales leadership role.
- Prior experience in the catering or event planning industry.
- Proven track record of managing and growing high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Proficiency in Caterease Catering Software, CRM systems, and modern sales techniques.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this role, the Director of Sales - Catering is frequently required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and see.
