Sales Coordinator/Specialist
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Marriott platforms such as CI/TY and MGS is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, partners, and internal team members.
- Experience building and managing room blocks, reservations, rooming lists, housing bureau entries, and pickup reports.
- Proven customer service skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Act as the primary liaison for group clients, managing communication before arrival and while in-house; regularly connect with clients on-site to ensure satisfaction and proper event execution.
- Ensure accuracy and coordination of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and event setups in partnership with operations teams.
- Experience in Sales, Catering, and Marketing, supporting revenue growth and brand visibility.
- Collaborate closely with Revenue Management on pricing strategy, pacing, and rate management to maximize group revenue.
- Prepare and manage proposals, contracts, rooming lists, group resumes, BEO packets, and pickup reports, while coordinating commission submissions with accounting.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple sales initiatives and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience training and supporting team members to foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.
- Experience within the hospitality industry, particularly boutique or luxury hotels, is preferred.
