90’s Roller Rave
May 27, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM
Chicago and Detroit house, hip-hop-rooted club sounds and freestyle set the soundtrack for a 1990s-inspired skate night at Miami Roller Rink. The 90’s Roller Rave takes place Wednesday, May 27 from 8 to 11 p.m., with music by Pressure Point, Sel.6 and Bonita Applebumz. Organized by South Florida-born DJ Bonita Applebumz, the event draws inspiration from U Dance with B96, the Chicago dance music television show tied to 1990s late-night radio and club culture.
The music will focus on 1990s Chicago and Detroit house, hip-house, freestyle and related underground dance-floor sounds. Pressure Point, the DJ alias of Miami-based artist and programmer Akia Dorsainvil, brings a broad underground sensibility shaped by electronic music, hip-hop and diasporic club sounds. He is also one of the founders of Masisi, a Black queer collective and platform focused on art, music and lineage across the Americas and Caribbean diaspora.
Guests can skate, listen or gather rink-side for a birthday-themed dance party with a retro club atmosphere. Admission is open to guests 16 and older for skating, with drinks available for guests 21 and over.
