A Community Family Day: Art in Harmony

Hands-on artmaking, storytelling and live music come together for a family day presented by the Frost Art Museum and The Wolfsonian–FIU in Miami Beach. A Community Family Day: Art in Harmony takes place Saturday, July 18, with activities inspired by the Frost exhibitions Invitation to Openness and David C. Driskell & Friends: Creativity, Collaboration, and Friendship. The program is designed for all ages, with opportunities to create, listen and take part in shared cultural experiences.
The day includes an artist-led workshop with Morel Doucet, interactive storytelling and a musical performance by Mr. Jams. Additional activities include printmaking and make-your-own-instrument stations, giving families multiple ways to engage with visual art, sound and creative collaboration.
The afternoon culminates in a community drumming experience led by MiamiBloco, highlighting the rhythms of Afro-Brazilian samba.
