DJ and curator Joe Kay brings a late-night set of globally influenced electronic music to Jolene Sound Room during Miami Race Weekend. Taking place Saturday, May 2, the 21-and-over event centers on dancefloor-driven sounds spanning Afro tech, deep house and UK-influenced styles.
Kay, known for his work highlighting music across the African diaspora, is joined by Rich Medina, who contributes a set rooted in house and electronic selections. Together, the lineup reflects a cross-cultural approach to club music, drawing from scenes in South Africa, Lisbon, the UK and beyond.
The event takes place at Jolene Sound Room, an intimate basement venue in downtown Miami recognized for its focus on sound quality and curated programming. Doors open at 10 p.m.
