Africa en el Caribe

Live music and dance performances explore the African roots within Cuban and Puerto Rican traditions through an evening of Afro-Caribbean cultural expression at FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus. The showcase features features performances by Philbert Armenteros y Los Herederos and Tamboricua Miami, joined by guest artists La Mamuchi and Lekiam Guerrero. Hosted by Melao of Melaos Mundo and Isaiah Castillo-Awo Ifa, the evening offers an immersive exploration of Afro-Caribbean culture through rhythm, movement and shared history.

África en el Caribe takes place Saturday, September 13 at the Mary Ann Wolfe Theater, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $40 plus tax through Eventbrite or $40 cash at the door.
