An Evening with S.A. Cosby

Crime fiction and Marvel’s street-level universe converge in a conversation with award-winning author S.A. Cosby about his new Luke Cage novel, Truth to Power. Organized by Books & Books, the event takes place Thursday, October 15 at the Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater. Cosby will discuss the book with City of Miami Commissioner Christine King.

Set in rural Virginia, the novel follows Luke Cage as he investigates advanced cybernetics circulating among low-level criminals and the suspicious death of a cousin who helped him trace their source. The case leads him into a widening conspiracy shaped by corruption, prejudice and violence. Truth to Power continues the Marvel Crime series but can be read as a stand-alone story.

Cosby is the author of All the Sinners Bleed, Razorblade Tears and Blacktop Wasteland, which received the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Tickets are required and include admission for one guest and one copy of Truth to Power, distributed upon entry. Additional books will be available for purchase.
