Andy Warhol: Films from the Factory Program Two
Jun 18, 2026
Starting: 7:00 PM
Andy Warhol’s experimental cinema takes over The Gat Gallery with a screening of The Chelsea Girls, part of a series focused on films from the Factory era. The June 18 installment begins at 7 p.m. in Buena Vista, presenting Program Two from Andy Warhol: Films from the Factory (1964-1966). The screening offers a chance to encounter Warhol’s raw, durational approach to film in a gallery setting.
Released in 1966, The Chelsea Girls is among Warhol’s best-known films from this period, capturing figures from his Factory circle through an unconventional structure and extended running time. The program reflects the artist’s interest in performance, celebrity, observation and the blurred boundaries between documentary and staged presence.
Guests may watch the screening or spend time in the gallery’s lounge-style setup, with seating, a photo booth by Photo-Tent, food by Hood Burger and Numan Hall and an open bar courtesy of the gallery. The event is free and open to all, with guests ages 21 and older permitted to drink.
