Art Walk & Poetry at Wynwood Walls

Murals, guided writing prompts and spoken word come together during a creative workshop at Wynwood Walls. Art Walk & Poetry at Wynwood Walls takes place Saturday, June 13, with Miami Poetry Club leading participants through an evening of observation, writing and community sharing. The free program is open to all writing levels with RSVP and limited capacity.

The event begins with time to explore the outdoor galleries at Wynwood Walls, where large-scale murals serve as inspiration for generative writing exercises. Participants will be invited to slow down, observe details in the artwork and develop poems or prose shaped by the surrounding colors, textures and stories.

After the workshop, attendees can share their work during an open mic. The schedule includes doors at 6 p.m., a welcome and introduction at 6:30 p.m., an art walk at 6:40 p.m., a writing workshop at 7 p.m., open mic sharing at 7:40 p.m. and a conclusion at 8:30 p.m.
