Art Walk & Poetry at Wynwood Walls

Large-scale murals become prompts for poetry and prose during a guided writing workshop at Wynwood Walls. The free program takes place Saturday, August 8 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., bringing visual art, creative observation and spoken word together in the outdoor galleries.

Presented by Miami Poetry Club, the evening begins with an art walk followed by generative writing exercises inspired by the murals, textures and stories throughout the space. Participants can then share their work during a community open mic, placing their words in conversation with the art that inspired them.

All writing levels are welcome. Doors open at 6 p.m., advance RSVP is required and capacity is limited to 30 participants.
