Artist Talk: Good Times, Buenos Tiempos, Bon Moman
Oct 11, 2025
From: 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM
A panel discussion at Locust Projects considers how television, film and visual art have shaped ideas of resistance, identity and cultural belonging. Presented in conjunction with william cordova’s exhibition algo•ritmos (2 tienes santo pero no eres babalao), the conversation takes shows like Good Times and ¿Qué Pasa, USA? as starting points for examining outlaw culture and the ways popular media contests dominant narratives.
Participants include Dr. Terri Francis, a film scholar and author of Josephine Baker’s Cinematic Prism, and Aldeide Delgado, curator and founder of Women Photographers International Archive. Together they reflect on how these cultural frameworks extend into the visual arts and community histories. Artist Talk: Good Times, Buenos Tiempos, Bon Moman: on outlaw culture takes place Saturday, October 11 at Locust Projects.
