Ashtanga Yoga Deconstructed
Jun 08, 2026 - Jun 12, 2026
From: 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM
A five-day immersion with internationally recognized teacher Kino MacGregor examines the foundations of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method beyond its set sequences.
Ashtanga Yoga Deconstructed takes place June 8 through 12 at the Life Center on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach. Designed for both students and teachers, this intensive explores the underlying structure, philosophy and intention behind the practice rather than focusing solely on posture memorization.
Participants will deconstruct key elements of the Ashtanga system to better understand alignment, breath integration and the broader principles that shape the method. The program also addresses accessibility, adaptability and therapeutic applications, with attention to cultivating a steady, meditative approach. Emphasis is placed on integrating body, breath and mind while honoring the lineage from which Ashtanga developed.
Kino MacGregor is one of the most prominent Ashtanga teachers in the world and a longtime leader in Miami’s yoga community. A dedicated practitioner for more than two decades, she is known for her in-depth knowledge of the traditional method, her global teaching presence and her role in making Ashtanga accessible to contemporary students through workshops, books and online education.
Full-week participation is required.
