Awaken In Nature Daylong Mindfulness Spring Retreat
Jul 19, 2026
From: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
A daylong retreat in a 20-acre nature sanctuary invites participants to step away from digital noise and reconnect through mindfulness, movement, sound healing and contemplative time outdoors. The Awaken In Nature Daylong Mindfulness Summer Retreat takes place Sunday, July 19 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary in South Miami-Dade. Designed as part of Patch’s seasonal retreat series, the program offers a structured pause for rest, reflection and nervous system support.
Nature-Based Mindfulness Retreat at Patch of Heaven Sanctuary
The retreat centers on insight meditation, present-moment awareness and earth-focused contemplative practices. Participants are invited to disconnect from their phones, set an intention for the day and move through guided experiences that use the senses to cultivate attention, calm and connection with the natural world.
The day includes breakfast nibbles, a Mindful Pocket Park immersion, guided meditation, mindful movement instruction, a dharma talk, a guided walk, silent mindful eating, sound healing, reflection time and journaling. The program draws from vipassana meditation, forest therapy, resilience practices and the sanctuary’s “P.A.W.S.” approach, which encourages participants to pay attention through sight, sound, scent, touch and taste.
