Beethoven on the Beach: Sunny Isles Beach

Orchestra Miami brings its Beethoven on the Beach concert series to Sunny Isles Beach for a free outdoor evening of classical music at Gateway Park.
The performance takes place Saturday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. Led by Artistic Director Elaine Rinaldi, the 36 musicians of Orchestra Miami perform a program anchored by Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92, celebrated for its rhythmic drive and exuberant spirit.
The concert also features husband-and-wife soloists Karen Lord Powell and Brian Powell performing Giovanni Bottesini’s Gran Duo Concertante for Violin and Bass. Additional selections include Robert Schumann’s Overture, Scherzo and Finale, Op. 52 and the overture to Gioachino Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino.
The outdoor performance takes place at Gateway Park and is free with advance reservation, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the lawn seating area, and free parking is available in the park’s on-site garage.
