An experimental rock performance at the Miami Beach Bandshell showcases the evolving sound of British band Black Country, New Road. Taking place Friday, October 9, the concert features a group known for blending genres such as post-rock, jazz and chamber pop while continually reshaping its musical identity. The live setting offers an opportunity to experience their latest material alongside selections that reflect their progression as a band.
Since their Mercury Prize-nominated debut For the First Time and the critically acclaimed Ants From Up There, the group has undergone significant changes, including a shift in vocal and songwriting roles following the departure of lead singer Isaac Wood. Their current lineup features shared vocal duties among Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery and May Kershaw, contributing to a new direction in both perspective and sound.
Presented by AEG, the performance highlights the band’s ongoing reinvention, with compositions that emphasize collaboration, layered instrumentation and a mix of emotional and stylistic range.
