BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions Film Screening
Jun 11, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Black history, culture and media consciousness converge in a free screening of Kahlil Joseph’s BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions at O Cinema South Beach. The screening takes place Thursday, June 11, as part of MOCA Offsite, a program of the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami. Presented in partnership with the Highlander Center, O Cinema and Green Banana Productions, the event brings Joseph’s video-art practice into a cinematic setting.
Adapted from Joseph’s larger BLKNWS installation, Terms & Conditions uses a record-album structure to move through Black cultural memory, political thought and contemporary media. The work blends fictionalized representations of W.E.B. Du Bois and Marcus Garvey with artists, musicians and real-time social media, creating a layered reflection on history, image-making and collective consciousness.
The screening is followed by a Sunday brunch gathering at MOCA on June 14, offering attendees a chance to discuss the film in a more informal setting. Screening registration includes free entry to the brunch for the registrant and one guest, with limited space available.
