Discover how Coral Gables’ signature streetscapes evolved over the past century through photographs, maps and historical materials that bring George Merrick’s original vision to life.
Blueprints for Beauty: 100 Years of Coral Gables Streetscapes will be on view at the Coral Gables Museum from August 29 to December 2 as part of the city's centennial programming. Curated by Carole A. Fewel, the exhibition highlights key public spaces such as landmarks, parks and civic corridors—tracing their transformation from Merrick’s Mediterranean-inspired plan to today’s cityscape. A complementary series of events will examine Coral Gables’ past, present and future through community discussions, presentations, and interactive components designed to spark dialogue about the next 100 years of The City Beautiful.
