Candlelight: Tribute to José José

José José’s best-known ballads are reinterpreted for string quartet in a candlelit tribute at Ball & Chain in Little Havana. The Thursday, September 24 concert is part of the Candlelight series and features Listeso String Quartet performing selections from the Mexican singer’s catalog.

The program includes “El Triste,” “La Nave del Olvido,” “Gavilán o Paloma,” “Almohada,” “Lo Pasado, Pasado,” “40 y 20” and “Amar y Querer,” among other songs associated with the artist often known as El Príncipe de la Canción. The arrangements recast his romantic pop and bolero-influenced repertoire in an intimate chamber setting.

The 60-minute performance is open to guests ages 8 and older, with anyone under 16 required to attend with an adult. Seating within each ticketed zone is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
