Caribbean Heritage Celebration Weekend
This event has passed.
Experience the cultures of the Caribbean during the Miami Children's Museum's Caribbean Heritage Celebration Weekend, taking place Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30. As part of the museum’s festivities for Caribbean Heritage Month, families will have the chance to immerse themselves in Caribbean art, music and traditions.
Let your creativity flow by crafting colorful and textured art pieces inspired by Barbadian artist, Heather Meyer. Story time sessions will bring Caribbean folktales and traditions to life, while energetic steel drum performances will have you moving to the rhythm.
For a taste of the tropics, join the Pura Vida Monthly Cooking Club and whip up refreshing coconut smoothies. The Art Studio will be buzzing with activity as families design their own vibrant masks and wearables, culminating in a festive Carnival parade – a perfect way to showcase your creations!
