Charu Suri
Jun 28, 2026
Starting: 6:00 PM
Indian ragas, jazz and global musical influences come together in a free outdoor performance by pianist and composer Charu Suri on Ocean Drive. The concert takes place Sunday, June 28, in Lummus Park as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series in Miami Beach. Presented by the Ocean Drive Association, the weekly series invites audiences to bring a blanket, lawn chair or picnic for an evening concert on the lawn.
Born in South India, Suri is known for blending Indian classical traditions with jazz, drawing on ragas, improvisation and musical influences from India, Europe and Africa. Her Miami to Mumbai program reflects that cross-cultural approach, using piano and composition to connect different musical languages within a concert setting.
The performance is free and open to the public, with the concert area located in Lummus Park between 14th Street and 14th Place. In case of rain, the program moves indoors to The Betsy Hotel. The series is underwritten by the City of Miami Beach, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Ocean Drive Association.
