Clean Miami Beach: World Ocean Day Celebration Beach Cleanup
Jun 06, 2026
From: 10:00 AM to Noon
Volunteers can help protect the shoreline during a World Ocean Day beach cleanup at 81st Street Beach in Miami Beach. The cleanup takes place Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. Presented by Clean Miami Beach, the event is co-hosted by World Ocean Celebration, ECF Wealth and The International Seakeepers Society, with support from Delta, the City of Miami Beach and The Miami Foundation.
Participants will meet oceanfront near 81st Street and should look for the turtle flag. Cleanup supplies will be provided, including sanitized gloves, buckets, bags and pickers. Volunteers are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes for dune areas, bring water in a reusable bottle and use reef-safe sun protection, including a hat.
All ages are welcome, and community service hours are available for volunteers who arrive on time. Metered street parking is available nearby, with additional lots at 80th and 81st streets and Collins Avenue, and at 83rd Street and Collins Avenue. Public transportation is recommended.
