Climate Demands More From Culture
Mar 14, 2026
From: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Artists and cultural leaders examine the role of the arts in responding to the climate crisis during a public dialogue at The Bass in Miami Beach. Climate Demands More from Culture takes place Saturday, March 14 and features eco-artist Xavier Cortada and Anais Reyes, deputy director of The Climate Museum, in conversation moderated by Adam Roberti.
The discussion focuses on how artists and cultural institutions can address climate-related challenges affecting coastal cities such as Miami, including rising sea levels, extreme heat and widening social inequities. Speakers will explore how the cultural sector can move beyond raising awareness to help inspire civic engagement and meaningful action.
Part of the Miami Climate 365 initiative, the program invites audiences to consider how museums, artists and community leaders can integrate climate-focused programming into their work and contribute to broader environmental dialogue.
