Curator Talks: Kristy Edmunds
Apr 29, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A conversation with a leading figure in contemporary arts leadership offers insight into curatorial practice and institutional innovation at Locust Projects in Little River. Taking place Wednesday, April 29, the talk features Kristy Edmunds, director of MASS MoCA, as part of the organization’s ongoing Curator Talks series.
The program invites visiting curators to share the ideas, artists and approaches that shape their work, while also engaging directly with Miami’s creative community through studio visits and dialogue. This exchange between local artists and international curators remains a central component of the series, which presents a mix of emerging and established voices each season.
Edmunds is widely recognized for her multidisciplinary approach and long-standing support of artists across visual and performing arts. Before leading MASS MoCA, she held key roles at institutions including UCLA’s Center for the Art of Performance, the Park Avenue Armory and the Melbourne International Arts Festival, and founded the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art and its Time-Based Art Festival.
