Curator's Cut: Cristina Figueroa Vives + Alejandro Piñeiro Bello

Artist Alejandro Piñeiro Bello joins curator Cristina Figueroa Vives for a conversation on identity, memory and Caribbean influences in contemporary painting at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU. The September 24 program opens the museum’s Curator’s Cut series, which brings exhibition curators into dialogue with artists and audiences through daytime talks and workshops.

Figueroa Vives, co-curator of Modern Cuban Painters: From Havana to New York Revisited, will discuss Piñeiro Bello’s Miami-based practice and the ways personal history, cultural memory and the Caribbean landscape inform his work.
